Mother A PERSON or A PHILOSOPHY -----------------------RuH Mother’s Day is celebrated all over the world. Everyone posts pictures of their mothers on social medias and send philosophical, loving messages everywhere. But we also hear all the gruesome stories of mothers harming their offspring and children treating their mothers harshly in the news all the time. So, what are we celebrating really??? a person, an emotion or a philosophy…. a thought swirled in my mind. When we hear the word mother, I am sure our minds are filled with many things, unique to each of us. These thoughts, emotions and memories are simply based on some individual experiences and can sometimes range from pure hatred to unbounding love. So, what essentially is a mother - is it natures’ instrument of reproduction, an emotional bonding between two individuals or a philosophy by itself. Obviously, my mind wandered to my own childhood then. My parents and extended family cared deeply for me...
